What started out as a project inspired by the work of Sydnor Scholer at the Quirk Gallery gradually became a project saturated with quarantine meaning and memories. I deeply enjoyed having a making process that was so embodied, and at the same time spontaneous and repetitive. 
The marks ask to be interpreted any number of ways, but to me they primarily speak to the tangled way we experience things as humans. Food is inextricable from friends are inextricable from inside jokes, and on and on. This pillow will always be a little bit tied to Colonial Beach, August 2020.
